The nominations are in for the 2009 Grammys, and lots of your favorite Christian music artists are nominated.

Well, in the Gospel category, anyway.

That's the weird thing about the Grammys. All Christian artists fall into the Gospel categories.

Longstanding Christian rock, punk and metal labels Tooth & Nail and Solid State have taken more than 50 out-of-print albums from obscurity by adding them to iTunes.

 Inpop Records pop/rock band Superchick was honored by The Recording Academy® last night, as nominations for the 51st Annual GRAMMY ® Awards were announced on CBS’ “The GRAMMY Nominations Concert Live!! — Countdown To Music’s Biggest Night.” The group was recognized in the category of Best Rock Or Rap Gospel Album for its current release, Rock What You Got.

Sparrow Record’s 10-million selling, award winning artist Steven Curtis Chapman received his 13th and 14th nominations this year, with nods in both the Best Pop/Contemporary Gospel Album Category for his latest effort, THIS MOMENT, as well as his collaboration with MercyMe on their song “You Reign,” nominated for Best Gospel Song.

This week Hawk Nelson is celebrating the launch of their newly designed website (hawknelson.com), which focuses on their "One Little Miracle" campaign. The band is also thrilled as their most recent project "Hawk Nelson is My Friend" received a GRAMMY® nomination for "Best Recording Packaging." The GRAMMY® nomination goes to the designer Don Clark who created the packaging concept for the album.  Hawk Nelson's album design is nominated along with the recording packaging for "Death Magnetic" (Metallica), "Nouns" (No Age),  "Radio Retaliation" (Thievery Corporation) and "Summer Rains" (The Ditty Bops).
